In celebration of World Theatre Day on the 27th of March, the Naledi judges were blown away by an extraordinary Master Class in ensemble and performance theatre with the original creators of Woza Albert, Mbongeni Ngema (pictured) and Percy Mtwa at the Arena theatre in Pretoria (Tshwane). We are all in awe of the focus and energy of these two icons of South African Theatre.

Intended as an archive that records and preserves video interviews with theatre practitioners who have shaped South African theatre over the past five decades, the site holds the promise of retaining a historical truth that can serve and contribute to a nation’s memory and help us preserve a sense of national identity and pride.
